Home Cooking Dish of the Month Voting Thread, October 2017

LulusMom | Sep 25, 201710:13 AM

Welcome to the voting thread for the Dish of the Month (“DOTM”) for October 2017. The purpose of this thread is to cast votes to choose a dish that we all can cook and report on during the month of October. Our nominating thread was a little quieter than normal this month. Thanks to all who participated. To see how the nomination process went, here is a link to the thread:

The three dishes with the most votes were Vegetarian Fritters or Croquettes, Fried Rice and Spice cake. All of these sound delicious to me, and there are plenty of variations on each to keep us interested through the month. To vote for your preferred dish, please click on – i.e., “heart” – the post below identifying the dish for which you’d like to vote. Only one vote per person, please.

If you participate in the Voting, please plan on trying to prepare the selected dish at least once during October (although we know that stuff happens and sometimes the best-laid plans go amiss).

If you have questions, or want to discuss dishes, please reply to this original post instead of replying to one of the nominations. This will keep the nominated dishes all posted together at the top of the page. Remember that clicking a heart won’t result in following a thread; if you wish to keep updated on new posts, just click “follow” under the title of this post.

If you’re new to Dish of the Month, or new to Chowhound, or if you’ve been lurking for a while, it’s a great time to join this series. Vote for a dish and join us in preparing and discussing that dish during October.

Voting will be open until Saturday, September 30 at midnight. I will post the reporting thread on Sunday morning.
