Home Cooking Dish of the Month: Voting for March 2019

L.Nightshade | Feb 24, 201909:11 PM     60

It’s time to cast your vote for what we’ll be cooking in March!

Here is a link to the nomination thread:
So many wonderful ideas, hopefully we’ll get around to them all in future months. But for now, we’re down to the three dishes with the most nominations, and it looks like March will be the month of the W...

For a bit more clarity beyond the W...

I think we all recognize waffles as batter or dough that is cooked between two patterned metal plates.

Wat is an Ethiopian stew which usually contains meat, vegetables, and spices, but can also be made vegetarian.

Wings are what we commonly consider appetizer wings, as Midwesterner describes them, marinated then baked, broiled, or grilled.

To vote for a dish, click on the heart next to your choice in the posts below. Please only vote for one. If you participate in the voting, please plan on preparing the selected dish at least once during March (although we all understand that life happens, and sometimes the best-laid plans go amiss).

If you have questions, or want to discuss dishes, please reply to this original post instead of replying to one of the voting posts. This will keep the nominated dishes posted together at the top of the page. Remember that clicking a heart won’t result in following a thread; if you wish to keep updated on new votes and comments, just click “follow” under the title of this post.

If you’re new to Dish of the Month, or new to Chowhound, or if you’ve been lurking for a while, it’s a great time to join this series. Vote for a dish and join us in preparing and discussing that dish during March.

Voting will close on February 28th at 6pm Pacific Time (9 pm Eastern Time, and 5 am BST). Once the votes are tallied, the reporting thread will go up and will be linked here.

Citrus Cakes are the current Dish of the Month, you can visit that thread here:

Here is the list of links to the 80 prior DOTMs, you can contribute to these threads at any time.
