L.Nightshade | Apr 25, 201806:12 PM     19

Such a great round of nominations we had this month, with over 80 nominations for over 30 different dishes, we had a mouth-watering list of choices! To view the nomination thread, click here:

And remember, you're always invited to post to past DOTM threads, which you'll find listed here:

Now on to the voting for May...
We had a last minute upset in the nomination round, with Thai curries sneaking up from behind. I’m going to include Thai Curry Pastes with Thai Curries, as if we’re making homemade Thai curries, I think that many of us will be making our own pastes. Okonomiyaki was a front-runner from the beginning. So our top contenders for May are...

THAI CURRIES (including Thai Curry Pastes)

To vote for a dish, click on the heart next to your choice in the posts below. Please only vote for one. If you participate in the voting, please plan on preparing the selected dish at least once during May (although we all understand that life happens, and sometimes the best-laid plans go amiss).

If you have questions, or want to discuss dishes, please reply to this original post instead of replying to one of the voting posts. This will keep the nominated dishes posted together at the top of the page. Remember that clicking a heart won’t result in following a thread; if you wish to keep updated on new comments, just click “follow” under the title of this post.

If you’re new to Dish of the Month, or new to Chowhound, or if you’ve been lurking for a while, it’s a great time to join this series. Vote for a dish and join us in preparing and discussing that dish during May.

Voting will close on April 30th at 12 noon Pacific Time (3 pm Eastern Time, and 8 pm BST). Once the votes are tallied, the reporting thread will go up and will be linked here.
