It seems I never enjoy basis foods that I cook for myself as much as if someone else cooks them for me.
I worked as a short order cook in college and could prepare anything I wanted to eat for lunch. I prided myself in making awesome cheesesteaks (I'm from Philly), but I always enjoyed them more when one of the waiters made 'em for us. I don't think it has anything to do with skill and we all used the same ingredients.
Even as an adult, hamburgers are better when they come off my neighbors grill. Yet I think I make great burgers?
Anyone else experience this?
