Back to Montgomery for our annual Christmas visit. Not much chance to eat out what with Mom's cooking. However, did have a terrific meal at Jubilee Seafood. M had royal red shrimp and a cup of gumbo. I, of course, had to sample. Shrimp very good. Gumbo unremarkable. I had baked sea bass with crab meat crust. Excellent. Fish was cooked just to done point and was very flaky and moist. Came with slaw and wild rice. Butter and lemon sauce. Good crowd, noisy in a friendly way and excellent wait staff. Good place and I highly recommend for Montgomery vistors.
Heard the venerable Sahara has changed ownership after 50 some odd years under the Deep family. One report said not up to snuff but not having a chance to eat there this trip will withhold judgment.
