holidays in new port richey!

Just back from Thanksgiving with the new in-laws in New Port Richey. Nice little downtown area. Attended performance of "Moon over Buffalo" at the local theater. We had an excellent post-turkey day dinner at "The Leaning Tower", great veal marcella and stuffed shells, very reasonable priced. I think 3 of us ate for less than $20! Excellent lunch at "Boston Market", fresh seafood lightly fried or broiled, wonderful fresh out of the overn rolls.....sinfully. The servers very use to the extra attention the seniors like. Subs for the football games at Larry's Deli.....had them "pressed", a first for me.....can't wait till next year. Also attended a craft fair in Tarpon Springs where we had a wonderful breakfast and some of the best coffee I've ever had at Tarpon Springs Diner. Lunched the same day at a seafood festival down the road on Honeymoon Island....huge platters of seafood at reasonable prices and jamming music to listen to while dining outside on picnic cut this short, will give it a try next year. Two places I didn't try but will next time, The Grand Cafe, looks like my kind of place and a gourmet grocery down toward Clearwater...couldn't find address but heard great tails. On the way home we stopped and spent the night in Fernandine Beach.....very nice...reminded me of Charleston. Had dinner at Marine Restaurant. I had Honey-fried Pork chops with corn pudding, mashed pot., peas with snaps for $8.95. Husband had to usual seafood platter...huge and fresh.....he was happy camper!
