Holiday Wine Tasting at Arroyo Vino, Santa Fe

ninrn | Dec 19, 201504:06 PM

We went on a whim to the holiday wine tasting at Arroyo Vino. I hope some of you were able to go, too.

It was such a fun, informative, and laid-back event. There were about 65 wines to taste--everything from sparkling wines to ports. Eight or nine distributors were on hand offering tastings from many European and US vintners (don't recall if there was anything from Australia, Africa, or South America). Everything was beautifully organized--plenty of wine glasses, rinsing stations set up at every table, plates of bread, olive oil, and cheese set around the room. The presenters at each tasting station were smart, friendly, and ready to tell you everything you'd ever want to know about each wine. In addition, the wine shop was offering 20% off on purchases of 12 bottle cases of any combination of the wines at the tasting (not sure if that offer runs through the week).

I have a list of all the wines if anyone's interested.

I think it's totally worth getting on Arroyo Vino's email list just to be informed of this event next year.
