I wish that these two places were in NYC.
Both are outstanding. I asked a chef where a chef would go after work and H&F was the answer. How can you not like a place that cures their own meat including lardo. And a "parts" menu. Offal to the rest of you. After starting with a sample of the house cures meats, I had rabbit liver, lamb hearts and bone marrow. I wish I had room for more.
Next went to 4th & Swift. Similar routine. Cured meats (they outsource, but the quality was first class. Then two starters from the Market menu. The the Three little piggies. I was stuffed but was told that I could not miss the Duck & Donuts, which are bombolini with strawberries and Foie ice cream. A terrific combination.
