The basic message here is don't even think about it.

A "well done" 6oz filet mignon was 1/2 inch thick, tasteless and shoe leather. Bacon wrapped "tiger" prawns were smothered in store-bought BBQ sauce and the bacon under-done and therefore chewy.

The"bluenose sea bass" special was served blackened - a fact the waiter neglected to tell us - and was as dry and unedible as the filet and could have been catfish for all I know. At $36 a complete rip-off.

The twice cooked potatoes looked more like 12x cooked and tasted horrible. Asparagus side dish was the color of green olives and as unappetizing as any vegetable I have ever seen.

The bartender was inept.

This place will probably be closed within 6 months and re-open as an Outback Steakhouse - a sad fact as we need good restaurants in Newbury Park but at least the food will be better.
