Hogly Wogly

Just got back from a three day drive that had us snacking at La Super Rica and lunching at Chez Panisse so a visit to Dr. Hogly Wogly's Tyler Texa BBQ seemed to make sense. We love BBQ but don't know most of the places mentioned here, i.e. Phil's for one. Place was packed but we got the last table before the rush. Liked the two sauces quite a bit and enjoyed the baked beans and macaroni salad. The beef ribs were dry as if they had been cooked too fast. The brisket was tender but at $18.75 for the combo I wished it were better. Love the brisket at Shenandoah Cafe in Long Beach and will stick with the beef ribs at Houston's for now. I'm reluctant to ask for recommendations in this area because there have been so many postings of late. I'll search them out.

The waitress was a hoot.
