Hobe Meats-Saturday bbqs

Found this little gem tucked away on the Northwest corner of Bethany Home and 16th street. It's just north of that new place, Luci's. It's not too hard to spot if you're looking for it, because it has a huge "MEATS" sign above it. Hobe Meats is a butcher shop, but on Saturdays, as my friends and I have discovered, they have an awesome bbq from 11-4. It's not the biggest selection, but what they do, they do great. I've had a burger from there on three occasions, and every time it's been fantastic. It comes with fries and a can of soda or a water bottle, and it's only $5!! They have other menu items like ribs and chicken, and I believe everything costs $5 for lunch. A friend had the ribs once and raved about them. The portions are great and the toppings are do-it-yourself. The burger also comes with a choice of cheese. It's been somewhat busy every time I've been, and there's really only one table outside to sit at but it's pretty large. That's probably the only downside is the lack of seating. I haven't seen this place mentioned on here before (probably because it's a butcher shop and not a restaurant), but it's definitely worth making the trip from anywhere in the valley (I drive there from Scottsdale, it's so good!) on Saturdays so I highly recommend it. I've never had their meats aside from the burger, but my friends tell me they have great steaks (which apparently the staff will grill for you there if you want). If anyone else has been there and tried other items on their bar b que menu, I'd love to hear reviews!
