We plan to make a trip to Richmond, Vancouver at the end of November to try the amazing HK Cantonese food in the area, and we wanted to know if there is a difference between going Fri-Sun (weekend) or Mon-Fri (weekday)? Where we are from in the US, a lot of Chinese places are either closed Tues-Wed or the head chefs take those days off and so the food is usually not as good. However, that is not the case in Hong Kong where the food is the same seven days a week, so we're just trying to see if Richmond, Vancouver is more like the US or Hong Kong in that regard.
To be more specific, here are some examples of what we'd like to try:
- Wonton noodles (Mak's?)
- Dim sum
- Cantonese style dinner (is it true Alaskan king crabs will be in season and some places offer 3-way tastings etc?)
- Hot pot
