Hitching Post-Buellton or Casmalia

Dbird | Nov 2, 2003 12:37 AM

I have enjoyed Buellton before and wonder how it compares to Casmalia. I'm thinking of stopping in en route to Pismo Beach on Thanksgiving eve, solo. I seem to recall that Buellton had a nice bar (don't remember diners but don't recall any reason why not) and wonder about Casmalia on this point as well as food and other things. I would also welcome other suggestions nearer to my destination (I'm travelling north) both then and on Thanksgiving evening. Bistro Laurent, Novo & Villa Creek are all closed on Tgiving. Black Cat has two early seatings and only serves a prix fixe. Is there nowhere on a Thursday in November within a half hour radius of Pismo Beach where one might escape turkey and dressing, which I abhor, and make slow progress through a good meal? No thank you to Big Sky (outgrew Moosewood twenty years ago). Thanks for any leads--
