Hikaru on 2nd st

I went to Hikaru Friday night, my first time there since the renovation. Last time I was there, the sushi was not so great. I decided to give it another chance though, mainly because it's close to home. Boy was I surprised. We started off with 2 kinds of dumplings. One with shrimp and one with pork. Delicious. The dipping sauces were unbeliveable. They had a live scallop sashimi as a special. It was incredibly fresh and fabulous. Otoro is avalilable now and that's just the best. I am usually not a big fan of rolls, but the hell's rolls were great. The only roll I wasn't crazy about was the spider roll(with soft shell crab). Mediocre at best. The service was actully good and our waitress was actually able to answer our questions, which is sometimes hard to run across in Japanese restaraunts. We had a ton of food and only spent $50.00(2 people). I hope your visit is a pleasurable as mine was.
