do higher quality die cast pans have even heating?

I ask because I bought a cheap ikea cast iron pan on an induction stovetop and it's seasoned well but I notice that the heating seems to heat more on one side than then the other. Is this reason to return it (from any brand). Do higher cost cast iron non enamel worth the price? I only test it with water, but when I do eggs it is noticeable.
