High buck in Seattle - REPORT

EHat | Nov 18, 2005 01:05 PM

I was bitched at for not scrolling down to investigate where to eat in Seattle in my previous plea for advice. This is for those who'r too lazy to scroll:

Le Pichet (dinner)- Wonderful atmosphere. Friendly service. Good food. Butter lettuce salads and lamb sausage entree was very satisfying.

Matt's in the Mkt (dinner)- Awesome. Loved the quaint setting. Very busy but comfortable. Cod with local mushroom pilaf was truly superb. Can someone mail my blue umbrella to me? I forgot it under the corner table. Argh.

Elliott's (lunch) - Its hard to f up raw oysters or a dungenuss crab cocktail. The crab chowder was pasty and odd. Sorta corny all around.

Union (dinner) - Great food. I acknowledge that I look like a cretin, but I don't think it would have mattered if I was wearing a suit and tie. The service was very haughty in service. Sea Bass on a bed of bacon and saurkraut was fabulous.

Ate at some cool little bistro in Vancouver on Saturday. Don't remember the name. It was good. Check it out.

Lula(?? by Cinerama) (dinner) - Unexpectedly good. Greek salads and escarole, lamb meat balls with tomato were just what we needed.

It rained the whole time we were in town, all the while it was 65/sunny in Mpls. Argh.
