Hickory Stick—Shreveport

Was recently in Shreveport for the first time. I’m from California where we don’t really do barbecue well. I loved the Hickory Stick so much I ate there 3 times! The pork ribs are divine. Is this a good example of Louisiana barbecue? What do local chowhounds think of it? I don’t have any sense of what’s REALLY good in barbecue. I just know what tastes good to my uneducated palate. Where should I go next time?
