Old Hickory vs. Moonlite

jeff | Jun 9, 2002 03:23 AM

I grew up on Moonlite. My Pawpaw took me there for milkshakes and a chopped samwhich when I was a kid in the 60's. Old white bldg, with hams full of hairs hanging. I loved that place. In the 80's I discovered Old Hickory and they by far rule. If anyone knows how to get them to ship to California let me know. There use to be some other place not far from my Grandmother's on 8th near the college where we would pick-up ham salad/pimento cheese from Mrs. Head? and the sliced mutton rocked! Blue bldg. Not far from frederica. Christ, I was a child and I still crave this food. I am a Bidwell descendant from Island / Warren from Calhoun. Peace all.
