Hibiscus - short (mixed) review

BillieDog | Mar 6, 2005 08:32 PM

My wife and I did a celebratory birthday dinner at Hibiscus on Saturday 3/5/05. The food was very, very good. I won't go into detail about the chow - the point is we both liked everything we ordered.

The problem was, from the moment we were seated, we were rushed - they were trying to turn our table practically from the moment we sat down. The waiter wanted to take the menus away before we ordered, paid little attention to us, and seemed pissed off when we ordered a second bottle of wine (and came back frequently to make sure we were drinking it). We spent well over $200 on dinner for 2, loved every bite of the food, and will never return because we were made to feel unwelcome.
