I am indebted to you for your recommendation to Django for today's lunch. The prix fixe was $20.04 and it included a choice of gazpacho or goat cheese & braised leek salad (I had the soup, my friend had the salad - both were divine); duck leg confit or roasted branzino (I had the fish, my friend had the duck - both were perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked [non-greasy duck?! but it *was* non-greasy], large portions for a lunch entree, and prettily presented; warm rhubarb cobbler or coffee-vanilla pannacotta (I had the pannacotta and it wasn't too sweet, plus it was a stunning presentation in a slight bowl . . . gorgeous layers of brown and cream, separated by thin sheens of coffee gelatin . . . The cobbler was sweet & tart & delicious).
We had a lovely patio table with a big square umbrella overhead, which allowed us to sit through the 2-3 sunshowers that rained down while we were eating.
To boot, the reservationist picked up on my *very* off-handed comment about it being my birthday & my dessert plate arrived with "Happy Birthday" written on it. Kudos to them for having an attentive staff for both service AND phones!
