We enjoyed the Zocalo panel last night. By the way, your story about J Gold and Chowhound opening up new culinary worlds is virtually the same as mine. Funny how one man can have such a profound impact on two peoples' lives. (My first date with my wife was at the old Tung Lai Shun, which I found through Chowhound.... she loved it, and I knew at that moment that we were destined to be together!)
One question... you mentioned that your favorite dish at taco trucks is some sort of cheese poblano dish.... what was it called, and where is your favorite place to go for them? The taco truck they had parked out front served up some excellent chow.... those sopas were just so decadent, buttery, flakey crispness filled with wonderful asada. I don't remember the truck name, but for those who want to know they park at Eagle Rock and Ave 34.
