I'm on the fence myself. Last few years made the trip up to Bongi's in Kingston. Good bird at a premium price. Whole foods is always an option at $2.49-2.99 for all-natural or same pre-brined, or $3.99 for heritage birds. If I went the heritage route, I'd buy local at Miss Scarlett's Farm in Yarmouthport at $4.75/lb. but I'm just not a huge fan of the heritage bird's leaner and slightly darker meat.
Sometimes I wonder if the $0.59 Butterball is the way to go and just put the extra $50-$90 in my pocket.
What say you?
