We finally had dinner at Henry's End on Saturday night (not sure what took us so long). Not much new to say that hasn't already been said, but the experience was, for the most part, excellent. I started with the turtle soup (thanks for the many recs for this) which was amazing. My GF had the tortilla-crusted shrimp with chipolte mayo and guac which were also really really good. We weren't quite ready for the game menu, so entrees were Fried Chicken (her) and Steak Diane (me). The Fried Chicken was really astounding. Moist and juicy inside, really crispy outside with excellent flavor. My GF thought the flavor was similar to Skyline Chili from Cincinnati, which is a good thing. The portion was so huge that we took some home and it tasted just as good cold out of the refrigerator the next day. The only slight slip was my steak. I got the Diane as it was my Dad's favorite preparation and you don't see it too often. It was cooked a little more than the medium rare I ordered and was a little tough, but not enough for me to make a fuss. I'll just order differently next time.

We had a reasonably priced bottle of Clos du Bois with dinner. We were pretty full so opted to share the Black & White Mousse and a glass of Armagnac for dessert.

Service was impeccable even though the place was packed by 7pm. We'll be back.
