Henrietta's Table--Brunch Review

Doug E Fresh | May 9, 2005 09:05 AM

After much fruitless searching, I decided to go to Henrietta's table for Mother's day brunch yesterday. My initial thoughts are that it was not worth the $39 per person.

The food was good, but not great. They had somewhat limited options in terms of bread/pastries, and the organization was terrible. The buffet ran along the side wall (where the kitchen was), however they did not have enough line cooks helping out. There was 1 cook working on eggs/ommelette/waffles, and was only able to help 1-2 people at a time. In addition, they did not have any other egg dishes.

The way it was organized, everyone had to wait in the full line to have access to anything, even if you only wanted one specific thing. I ended up waiting 20 minutes in line to get my plate. In my opinion, for a $39 brunch I would expect things to be a lot smoother and better organized.

Has anyone else had any similar experiences there?
