I feel very guilty(5000 years worth). I dined at Hema's with my mother last night(and GWiv-don't ask)and had a wonderful meal. I learned a good lesson, don't ever doubt your mother. The food was all fresh cooked and lighter in style than your average Indian restaurant. It's the first time in memory I left an Indian restaurant feeling comfortable.
We started with vegetable samosas and chicken tandoori. The tandoori was particularly tasty, with a nice heat kick and moist chicken meat.
The entrees were also excellent which included Dal, Lamb Vindaloo, Sag Paneer, Lamb Biryani, and a chick pea dish whose name I've forgotten. It was accompanied by 2 breads similar to Naan(sp?). I recommend everything we ate, and suggest you try the place. If you have nobody to dine with, call my mother.
