What the Hell is Happening at Hoover's?

Alan Sudo | Oct 23, 201211:44 PM     9

For literally years, I have been recommending Hoover's Manor Road location on this site.

I really hope that they change course but I can no longer recommend them even though it leaves a huge chicken-fried gap in my life.

At some point, poor service cannot be overcome by good food. I witnessed, but was not a party to, an altercation between a server and a regular customer that I know from many encounters here. Not to go into too much detail, but the encounter was over an inadequate tip.

OK.

Whatever.

We all have our bad days, customer and server alike. BUT then I found out the long time customer had been banned from the restaurant. She had been going there once weekly (at a minimum) for years. It was not her that even left the bad tip, but someone in her party paying their individual tab. I didn't agree that a customer that has supported Hoover's regularly when they needed the business should be banned over this, so I called the restaurant.

They didn't care.

So I emailed the owner.

No response.

I very much enjoyed this restaurant,. I have recommended this restaurant so many times. I sent another email.

Still no response.

I can no longer recommend Hoover's..
