I'm looking for a good heatproof bowl - one that I could use as a boiler boiler, and also use a whisk inside it. The ceramic ones I have are very heavy. I was looking into stainless steel (light and unbreakable) but no matter how well known the make, I am seeing complaint after complaint on amazon, often with pics, about rusting, flaking of a mystery metal, etc, suggesting the bowl is not in fact made of stainless steel. Glass is an idea - but breakable and some crack under the heat. not sure about copper for these purposes, and in any case is a bit pricey for me. Any ideas appreciated. Any brand you found reliably stainless steel? am looking ar the earlier threads on this topic from last year. thank you
