Hearth Report

aldo fegato | May 10, 2005 11:47 AM

My wife and I had dinner at Hearth a few Fridays ago on the recommendation of various Chowhounds. We had one of the best meals and one of the nicest nights out that we've had in a long while. I had the octopus and the lamb three ways (chops, braised saddle, and sausage), both of which were just terrific. My wife had a salad of favas and pecorino and a steak. Portions were reasonable, but ungodly rich and filling. Flavors were clear and intense. We couldn't make a dent in dessert. Service was remarkably friendly and efficient, without being overly chummy. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Thanks, Chowhounds.
