Heads Up on Nob Hill Grille

Euonymous | May 19, 2008 08:48 PM

I found myself hungry on Nob Hill this afternoon, with an hour to go before my doctor's appointment, so I went into the Nob Hill Grille to see what they had to offer. The soup of the day was chicken w/tortilla, so I got the soup with half a tuna fish salad sandwich.

Much to my surprise, the soup was just fabulous! (I hadn't been expecting much.) The tuna fish salad sandwich was pretty darn good, too, on toasted whole wheat bread with a leaf of romaine and two slices of tomato that were ripe and actually tasted like tomato.

When I asked the lady who brought my check to tell the guys in the kitchen how much I liked the soup, she said something to the effect of, "I've heard nothing but praise for that soup all day. Well, of course they used chicken, but this time they made their own stock, and that made all the difference. We'll definitely be serving it again."

Soup and half sandwich $5.95
