New Haven Thai food

There are 4 Thai restaurants in New Haven on Chapel between York and Howe. I decided to sample them all.
First and worst: Indochine Pavilion - a greasy spoon for students. The lunch buffet ($5.50) is all fried or swimming in grease. There are only about 6 choices, which includes fried chicken wings! Just as bad and more of the same can be found at Thai Pan Asian. Now for the good news: Pad Thai is bright and clean. The lunch dishes run from $5-7 with a choice of 12 preparations, but, alas, no curries. They also have a 3 course lunch special for $8. My favorite is Thai Taste. The seafood curry soup (forgot the name) is fabulous. They also have PEI mussles in lemon grass. Special lunch prices.
