First, Maple Giant Grinder closed its doors... then the family behind Corner Grinder sold it and quality nosedived. Now, the address for Franklin Giant Grinder is listed as for sale.

They’re almost the last. DiBacco’s down the street - another one of the few remaining old-time Italian outposts - also makes awesome grinders, though they’re really a market and full kitchen.

If you’re in the area, get to Franklin before it’s too late. They’re still the best chicken cutlet I’ve had in the state, besting (in my opinion) even the Wethersfield Pizza House.
