This week I had to make up a batch of haroset to photograph. Since it only had to look like haroset, I decided to forgo the Concord Grape wine and just moisten it with a liquid I had on hand--perhaps some red wine vinegar. Then at the last minute I discovered some Sauternes in the fridge and used it instead. WOW. This was the tastiest haroset I ever had. Think about it.
