A Hardworking Weekend in NY

JMo12 | Mar 21, 2006 03:36 PM

A small group of coworkers and I will be in NY next weekend working incredibly long hours. We'll be staying at the Sofitel (on W 44th bet 5th & 6th) and we'll desperately need some good food! Here's what we're looking for:

- Places fairly close to the hotel that would be good for lunch or for a late dinner, without worrying about reservations.

- Any suggestions for places that have good food (doesn't have to be fancy, just good) and deliver on weekend afternoons for lunch? Our office is next to the Sofitel.

- A place for a Sunday evening dinner for a group of six without a reservation (we'll just go whenever the work will let us). The place should have a menu that isn't entirely adventurous, as a couple of folks in the group like to play it pretty safe. And it doesn't have to be particularly close to the hotel. We were thinking possibly in Chinatown as a couple of folks are big Chinese food fans, but we'll let your suggestions be our guide.

- Suggestions for reasonably priced filling weekend brunch that isn't special occasion dressy and won't be so loud we won't be able to hear each other talk (about work). We're not as bound to places near the hotel for this one.

I look forward to your suggestions -- thanks to the board, we already have a reservation at Sparks for Saturday night (our celebratory dinner!). Thanks in advance!
