From my second stop at Lido Lounge ( https://www.chowhound.com/post/happy-... ), I headed north to check into my hotel in Avila Beach then walked over to Mr. Rick's. Happy hour here is Monday through Thursday (excluding holidays) from 4pm to 6:50pm.
Order and pay at the bar, then take a number and find a seat. Avila Beach is the sunny side of the bay, and there were blue skies here when Pismo and Shell Beach were socked in with fog. I took a seat outside, right across the street from the beach.
I ordered Buffalo drums, $7, mostly because I wanted the carrot sticks and celery. It was good celery . . . very fresh, juicy and crisp. But why can't we get Buffalo-style blue cheese dressing instead of the ubiquitous ranch dressing? The chicken drummettes themselves were on the dry side and I didn't finish them.
The place was packed at 6pm on a Monday evening. Other opinions?
