It's Australia Day and as the Chowhounding community is international I wanted to promote a little Aussie pride (and produce). Today I shall be celebrating Australia Day in what is a typical celebration - watching fireworks off a friends balcony whilst eating barbequed lamb backstraps, scotch fillet and some nice pork and honey sausages I picked up from my local butcher. I daresay someone will bring a pavlova. I will be drinking Australian wine - my wine of choice for the day is from a small Margeret River winery called Greedy Sheep. Their sav/semi is perfect for quaffing on a hot Aussie afternoon. For those of you who don't celebrate Australia day I urge you to try some of our fantastic produce or wines, if you can get it, at some point.
