What happened to the Southeast Asian street food market in SD?

I am so glad I found this site. I have been trying to find out what happened to the outdoor Southeast Asian street food market I heard about in SD.
In March 2000, I was surfing the Net planning for my vacation out to San Diego when I read an article that talked about a "Southeast Asian Market" in San Diego. The market was suppose to have various authentic street-vendor food stalls that you commonly see in Southeast Asia. The market was only on weekends and was supposed to be located in the parking lot of the Temple Wat Lao Buddharam (726 44th Street in Chollas Park in San Diego). I was very disappointed to find the parking lot empty when I visited San Diego in April.

We just moved here last July and I would love to find out whether the market still exist but just in a different location. I even called the temple a couple of months ago to find out what happened. They guy on the phone didn't know where they move it to if it still exists.
I would be grateful for any information anyone can provide.
