Once a year, at Christmas, I refrain from baking with "healthy fats" like Smart Balance and buy Imperial Margerine to bake my holiday desserts. This year everyone noticed the change in taste and consistency. From my ginger snaps to apricot squares, nothing tasted as good as in the past.
I always use margerine rather than butter for holiday baking, and was quite disappointed in the end product. Did anyone else use this product and notice a quality difference?
