Anyone know what happened to Costco bourbon?

Alcachofa | May 17, 201612:35 PM     11

Costco's bourbon was a great budget choice. Here in MA, it was around 20 or 21 dollars for a full liter.

But it's changed. It was Kentucky bourbon before, now it's Tennessee (!) bourbon. Also, the price has gone up to around $30.

It was widely rumored to be a Jim Beam product before. Basically, if Knob Creek is 8 year, this was Knob Creek 7 year. (The new one is still aged 7 years.)

I would have just tried it, but I got freaked out, especially by the price increase, and left it alone. Anyone know what happened?
