The hanging ducks of Chinatown

Man, everyone always talks about those ducks hanging at the counter of the market next to Chau Chow City (owned by Super88, but I forget the name...) Me, I was looking for my favorite mock duck in Ctown, but it appears to only be available in Dorchester now, so I cruised to the CCC market to get the real thing for my favorite meat-eater (g)..

The birds looked great, and they're $12 a duck, $6 for a half(sign doesn't say, but you can get a half)...They hack it up with a cleaver, and give you some dipping sauce...I reheated it in a 500 degree oven, as directed by 9Lives, and served it with my much-vaunted green mango salad...TC said it was the best duck he'd ever eaten...Some juice that got onto my salad(!) seemed to indicate the presence of 5 Spice powder in the roasting....More truly amazingly, his daughter, who pretty much hates everything, loved it and asked for more!

This will definitely be my offering to all carnivorous friends, and a must for summer picnics....
