"Second-hand" Champagne?

Lady Grey | Jun 14, 201601:35 PM

This may seem odd, but I'll give it a try. I have a bottle of Champagne I received as a gift that's just been sitting in my fridge for years. I don't like Champagne, as it happens, and finally figured that maybe I'd cook with it. But a wine store told me that they'd be selling it for at least $200, and when I looked on Ebay, I saw what I have (Dom Perignon 1973) priced as high as $1000!

I don't expect that much, but it would certainly be nice to maybe get $600-$800. I don't buy/sell on Ebay and, besides, I'd want to do this in person. So I wondered, is there any place in town that deals in "second-hand" wine? Or are there any groups I should check with? Or any NYC newsletter or bulletin boards?
