Hana Japanese Market: ethnic food gem in Adams-Morgan/U Street

I don't think anyone's posted on this yet, but a new Japanese market opened up a few months ago at U and 17th St. I finally did a thorough exploring yesterday, and was pleasantly surprised by the variety of stuff offered. I know very little about Japanese food, but I scored some exceptionally fresh and delicious mochi chunks from the refrigerator case. Like no mochi I have tasted before. They also have some other fresh Asian baked goods. I look forward to dropping by this place for the occasional pastry treat, and also if I ever get around to trying any Japanese cooking.
