Han 202 mediocre at best

We are visiting Chicago for the first time & were so excited to go to the highly recommended Han 202.

First course- Miso soup, mild and dishwatery with fresh vegetables, but not a good sign of things to come
Second course- Salad- the only redeemable course. Green apple & lemongrass beef. Really tasty, but not worth the drive.
Third course- Scallop (that's one single scallop)- steamy, soppy sponge with no crust to it
Ahi tuna- overcooked, leathery, rubbery
Fishcake with cashews- delicious!
Fourth course- Salmon with coconut Mango sauce- so mild as to be invisible
Crispy beef- I don't eat sugar & asked if it was very sweet & was assured it wasn't sweet at all, it was. A plate of super sweet beef, no veg or anything to break up the brown plate.
Spicy garlic shrimp & scallop- ok, but greasy & not spicy. Pretty average carryout chinese
Fifth & final course- vanilla ice cream with tomato mango sorbet. Freezer burned ice cream! I think they had melted it and pored it into the cups, then re-froze it.

The service however, was excellent.

We couldn't believe the high marks this palce has gotten!
Boo! Hiss!

We had an amazing double hot dog at Gene & Jude's that kicked this meal's ass!
