I am looking for food like I grew up with in the Boston area.
Chinese Food? with chicken fingers, boneless spareribs to die for, pork strips, duck sauce in large containers, etc
Italian style bakery/deli - I found Rigoletto's at Red Mill which is a great bakery, are there any others around? Any great delis with fresh bakery bread and rolls, Italian cold cuts, italian specialty foods?
Italian food - small mom and pop operations like Maria's in Quincy.
onion rings - the long stringy kind, no beer batter or frozen rings for me
Steak bomb - no lettuce and mayo - just fresh rolls from the bakery, cheese, onions, peppers and mushrooms
PIZZA - when we go up north, we come home with 10 pizzas to savor. I'm talking the 10-12" size, thin, crisp crust - not from a chain. We love Ernie's of Plymouth's chourice pizza, or Lynnwood Cafe's of Randolph's linguica pizza.
Pizza bagels - homemade - with homemade thick sauce with a tiny bit of cheese on top. Our kids teethed on these.
If any Boston transplants have found the place for "home cooking", please pass on your finds. Thanks.
