Hampton Chutney Co.

After many, many dosas in Amagansett, I've become a Hampton Chutney fan; if you haven't checked out the outpost in Soho, get thee (it's on Prince between Crosby and B'way). It's a wee bit pricey--$13-ish for a dosa and a seltzer, my favored meal--but the dosas are wonderfully tangy and filling, and you'll feel oh so virtuous afterwards (assuming you don't get cheese in your dosa). My only complaint is that they charge you for "extra" chutney, when the chutney that accompanies your dosa isn't exactly voluminous to begin with, but I've really been enjoying my meals there, and it's great for eating alone.
