I know it's been asked here before, and hasn't really gotten any responses, but I'm hoping that this time someone will respond.
We're currently working on registering for our wedding (almost entirely at bed bath and beyond), and we've run into a problem. This problem is that almost all of the slow cookers they're carrying are too advanced, that is, they're programmable. This is a problem because our primary use for a slow cooker is cholent- a traditional dish for Jews for Shabbat lunch, which is generally started well in advance (before sundown on Friday, but sometimes even Friday morning before one goes to work). Since the programmable crockpots all have a 20 hour max for cooking, they are obviously no good. We're tempted by the 3-in-1, but the fact that it doesn't completely go around the 6qt crock seems worrying. Anyone here with experience with this particular pot?
