Hamburger help!

I make absolutely awful hamburgers. They come out loose, watery, and flavorless every time. I've tried switching up my recipe to make teriyaki pineapple burgers and they barely changed in flavor and still had the same awful texture. I grill 80/20 ground chuck with salt, pepper, little bit of chili powder, and ground garlic. Some tips, advice, recipes would be awesome. Thanks!
