Along the ultimate commercial strip in Silicon Valley,
Stephens Creek Blvd. there is a flashy looking Japanese restaurant called Hama Sushi. Built big, it has a Main dining room and sushi bar, tatami rooms and a private Karioke room. On Sunday night it was about one quarter full. The service is slow but pleasant. The fried chicken salad was fine, with a hot peppery dressing over very fresh romain and bitter lettuce leaves and small popcorn like fried chicken bits. The sushi was frankly, only average, with small and somewhat tasteless spider and California rolls, pale salmon and dry crab. Better sushi to be had elsewhere. The main menu was extensive and untried by myself.
