Had Dinner tonight at Hama-Ko Sushi in Cole Valley with a fellow hound and here are my thoughts. The wait is extraordinary, but the fish was worth the it. No fancy tricks here, just fresh fish. The Monkfish liver, Mackeral, and Halibut were super fresh and presented in a straight forward manner. When asked who we knew, it became obvious that we were chowhounds and the level of service increased. We were presented with a desert of vanilla ice cream with fresh bing cherries and sweet red beans that was both unique and memorable. Don't go if you don't have time to spare and the change to pay the bill.
