My coworkers and I are going to an awards ceremony on the first, and I'm looking for somewhere fun to go afterwards. It's at one of the broadway theaters, so somewhere times square-ish is (unfortunately) a must. There are just four of us, looking for something not too fancy or expensive, but fun. I'm picturing the non-horrible-chain version of bubba gump shrimp co or something like that, meaning kinda rowdy and with food everyone will go for. Like applebees, only good. And more interesting. Two finnicky eaters won't go for asian food, and we ALWAYS order lunch from all those places on ninth ave, so breeze, zanzibar, etc etc etc are also probably out. I'm a little stuck, but was thinking of trying Hallo Berlin on 10th ave, it seems fun and maybe yummy. Any thoughts on that, or other ideas? Please help - I'm at a loss navigating all the so-called "fun restaurant" crap that surrounds time square!
