At the risk of appearing boosterish, I will say that the halibut I just finished at Bistro Bis was the best I've ever had. Their shipment of swordfish that came in this morning was turned away this morning (unfresh), so the "Swordfish" special on today's menu is actually halibut.
Unfortunately, Bis doesn't do specials on the weekend, but if you're looking for a great dinner tonight, I would love someone else's thoughts on it.
The halibut is lightly seared to a mild crisp on the outside and perfectly cooked interior. Then, plated over onions, red and yellow bell peppers, spinach and chorizo. Then, a very cilantro-y aioli was drizzled over the top. A perfect blend of spice and sweet, crunch and creamy.
Again, it'll only be available for dinner tonight, so check it out if interested.
ps: the chilled corn soup is decent, but not great...I'd steer towards the soupe de poisson.
